Land of the Bible Study Tour & Power Pilgrimage 2006 Why Israel? Why Now?

It seemed like a most ludicrous idea: go to Israel?! After all, wasn’t this the country that just had a 34 Day War with Hezbollah, with an U.N.certain and U.N.fulfilled cease-fire implemented only in mid-August? Was it safe and couldn’t we find a more secure place to have our holiday? Well, Israel is not your average destination and we were not your average tourists. Israel is steeped with different religions and if you want to learn to be “religious,” Israel can help. But this nation has another quality: it is the birthplace of the Christian faith and a great place to learn the walk of faith, too. We were not going to Israel for tourist purposes or religious purposes, but instead, we were on a study tour and power pilgrimage. We wanted to connect with the source of our faith.
