Description
Lessons from the Life of Isaac
Drought is a major problem in many parts of the world. If left unchecked, it can also lead to a great scourge called famine. Governments, businesses, and even military might, stand powerless in the face of these natural problems. After all, only Almighty God is able to make it rain!
Just as there is natural drought, the same can be said in the spiritual realm. Where the Word of God is not preached, you have famine; where the Holy Spirit is quenched and unwelcome, you have a drought.
Amazingly, the solution for both natural and spiritual drought are the same: coming back to God. Using Genesis 26 as a text, we will learn about how the patriarch Isaac prevailed against drought, famines, and Philistines, in order to find wells in the wilderness and a hundred-fold harvest. The principles that Isaac teaches us are just as applicable today as they were nearly four thousand years ago.
