Description
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty — Psalm 91:1 (emphasis mine)
We have a twin challenge:
Turbulence: The last days promise to be turbulent with earthquakes, famine, pestilence (Matthew 24:7), along with wars and rumours of wars;
Fearlessness: Yet, despite all this, the Lord commands His disciples to not be afraid (Matthew 24:6 – See that ye be not troubled). In fact, Scripture tells us sixty-three times to ‘fear not.’
Challenge: How can we be fearless in light of these earth-shaking events that will cause people’s hearts to melt?
ANSWER: We partner with God through His Word, and this includes Psalm 91. It is your insurance policy in all things personal and communal in the future.
Prudence (noun) definition: Careful consideration and planning for the future.
We become prudent by being future-ready, future-friendly, future orientated. Psalm 91 is a key all these things.
